Batulicin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Minamas Plantation in Kotabaru District, South Kalimantan, together with Indonesia Heritage Foundation (IHF) organized Fire Aware School themed "effective deep learning strategy" to foster character of environmental love in schools.
"130 teachers from kindergarten to high schools around the company's operational area participate," said Regional Controller of Minamas Plantation, Adrian Mohd Fazrin Mohd Fairoz, in a statement received in Batulicin, Wednesday.
Adrian Mohd Fazrin Mohd Fairoz emphasized that this is a form of the company's commitment to education as the main pillar of social responsibility.
Minamas Plantation believes education is the main foundation of the nation progress. Through education, the next generation is born not only intellectually intelligent, but emotionally mature, strong in character, and have concern for others and their environment.
The training was designed not only to strengthen the professional capacity of teachers, but also integrate values of character education and environmental culture into learning process. This is considered increasingly urgent given the challanges facing today's youth, such as drug abuse, online gambling, and various other social problems.

"It is not enough to equip children solely with academic knowledge, but also moral values, noble character, mental toughness, and awareness of protecting environment," he stated.
