The victim was pronounced dead on Thursday, Aug. 20, after undergoing medical treatment. The victim’s child reported the alleged assault to the Kuta Police Department on the same day.

Investigators will coordinate with forensic doctors and relevant parties to obtain medical information, while police plan to conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

Police have questioned several witnesses, including family members, security officers, venue workers and others who may know about the incident, Simatupang said.

An initial investigation indicated that several foreign nationals allegedly assaulted the victim together, police said.

Four Australian nationals, identified by the initials RGG, PAM, JRM and TRZ, are suspected of involvement in the incident.
